The branch of the General Organization for Seed Propagation in Daraa has completed its preparations for receiving and marketing the wheat crop from farmers, according to a number of simplified procedures in terms of receiving or paying the price submitted by the state.
The director of the institution’s branch, Eng. Samer Al-Zamil, told SANA reporter that the screening and sterilization center is fully prepared, and committees have been formed to supply, calibrate the tubes, and prepare the laboratory to take samples and analyze them properly, while creating the necessary spaces for storage, indicating that the branch has 160,000 new burlap bags, which are sufficient for the quantities expected to be marketed to the branch.
The branch of the General Organization for Seed Multiplication has developed a plan for the current season, which includes receiving 16,000 tons of wheat seed that could be affected by the drought that the governorate witnessed from March 22 to April 24, with frosts during the month of March.
