The annual meeting of the volunteer fire brigade took place in the Oberaltinger equipment house - for the first time in two years.

A number of awards were also on the agenda.

Oberalting

- Whether it's a trace of oil on the main road, a fire in the Schlecht sawmill, a gas leak on Hedwigstraße, burnt food, accidents or even a marten under the roof - the Oberalting-Seefeld volunteer fire brigade has a wide range of activities, and a pandemic and Lockdowns don't change anything.

Commander Harald Wagner and his deputy Michael Wastian had to deploy 57 times last year.

In 2019, the year before the pandemic, there were 106 missions.

The rescue workers did not note the number of hours worked.

"We never do that," said Wastian when asked.

This also applies to the ten exercises that were still possible in the 2021 pandemic year.

In operations, the fire brigade can fall back on 65 active people - that's 14 more than before the pandemic.

The youth is also in a reasonable position with eleven members, as the youth spokesman Sarah Mayr and Johannes Gumpp reported.

Because of the lockdowns, fire brigade work was only possible to a limited extent for the youngsters, but they were able to meet for twelve exercises.

For comparison: In 2019 there were two exercises every month.

The pandemic has also slowed down the fire brigade association for the second year in a row.

However, the traditional event that the fire brigade has been organizing for more than 25 years could take place: the Petersmarkt in the heart of Seefeld, also known as "Seefelder Dult".

Of course, the date for this year has long been fixed: On Saturday, June 25th, numerous stand operators want to invite you to stroll along the main street from Marienplatz almost to the clinic.

The market could also take place in 2020.

Finally, the honors were awarded in the equipment house, which was occupied by around 70 participants, some of which had to be made up for in 2019 and 2020.

For 50 years of loyalty to the association, chairman Stefan Gumpp honored honorary commander Hans Gotzler, Martin Wastian sen.

and Joseph Glasl.

Stefan Erner, Freddy Maletz, Harald Wagner and Günter Pieper have been there for 40 years.

Edgar Herber joined 20 years ago, Jana Kornstaedt, Ralf Hoffmann, Luis Mantel, Timo Neubauer, Tim Wagner, Maximilian Maletz and Tobias Frey ten years ago.

Daniel Prestel and Laurenz Mantel were promoted to firefighters, and chief firefighters are now Max Sonner, Andreas Rottmann, Peter Schlecht, Korbinian Maletz and Thomas Schaffer.

Mike Kornstaedt, Tim Wagner and Jürgen Kaul are the new fire chiefs, Stefan Mantel and André Koppany are the main fire chiefs.

Max Lichtenberg and Thomas Schaffer are machinists.

Mayor Klaus Kögel and District Fire Chief Josef Kraus gave a lot of recognition for the voluntary work done by the community.
