Attentive bank employees saved a 78-year-old from major damage on Monday.
Olching - According to the police, the woman had received a so-called shock call.
She was told that her daughter had caused an accident.
The daughter could only be helped by paying a six-figure sum.
(By the way: everything from the region is now also available in our regular FFB newsletter.)
The elderly woman went to the bank to collect jewelry and money.
However, employees became suspicious and called the police.
The officials explained to the woman that she had almost become the victim of a brazen scam.
Police warn against responding to such calls.
Real cops or prosecutors would never ask for money over the phone.
Officials recommend hanging up immediately.
