A five-man gang of suspected tire thieves must answer before the Munich I District Court.

A tire dealer from the district of Ebersberg is also there.

District

– A five-man gang of suspected tire thieves has had to answer before the Munich I District Court since Thursday, May 19.

The five accused men (37, 33, 31 and 38 years old) and a woman (33) are said to have shared the workload.

Four of them are said to have stolen a total of 64 valuable wheel sets from a Tesla warehouse in Kirchheim.

Stolen goods sold to dealers in the Ebersberg district

The fifth man is a tire dealer from the southern district of Ebersberg, to whom they sold the stolen goods.

He is accused of receiving stolen goods.

The damage is around 160,000 euros.

The prosecutor's indictment lists seven individual cases between December 2, 2019 and January 31, 2020.

During the last burglary on the night of January 30th to 31st, 2020 alone, the gang dragged 21 sentences out of the Kirchheim warehouse for around 84,000 euros.

Criminals always follow the same pattern

The four Munich defendants, two of them unemployed, one self-employed and one sales consultant, always followed the same pattern.

Accordingly, the 33-year-old and the 31-year-old climbed into the warehouse and took out the tires.

The 33-year-old woman rented and drove a transport car as she was the only one with a driver's license.

The 38-year-old sales consultant, who occasionally worked at the Tesla warehouse, was said to be providing information to help the burglaries.

He told the accomplices which tires were currently in storage and when was a good time to board.

He also opened a window before the burglaries so the other two men could easily get in.

Exact prices agreed for all tires

So the teamwork was perfect from the point of view of the perpetrators.

They then carted the tires to the tire dealer in the Ebersberg district.

He had even given them a key so that they could deposit the stolen goods in the camp at night.

Exact prices were agreed for the tires.
