A few days after he was fired from the Knesset by the prime minister, tonight (Thursday) former MK Yom Tov Kalfon met with the deputy prime minister, Yair Lapid, Israel Today has learned.
During the meeting, the fired Knesset member tried to understand whether the chairman had a future related to his dismissal, in light of rumors that Lapid demanded that Bennett do so in order to maintain the stability of the government. In response, Lapid replied in the negative.
As you may recall, last Friday moves were made as part of Bennett's attempt to bring order to the party and prevent the retirement of more defectors.
As part of the measures, the Minister of Religious Affairs, Matan Kahana, announced his decision to resign from the post of Minister of Religious Affairs and that he would return to serve as an MK. Meretz Company - Jida Rinawi Zoabi.
