According to the Central Franconia police, it must now be determined which substance was involved.

It is also now being determined who the sender of the letter is - that is why it should be forensically examined.

Fingerprints and DNA samples should also be taken from the envelope.

Large-scale operation in Fürth: the case is reminiscent of bank blackmail

The case inevitably evokes memories of the attempted blackmail of Commerzbank in March of this year.

A flash of fire broke out in Nuremberg when a bank employee opened an A5 envelope.

The perpetrator, who is still unknown, had threatened to send more such letters if his request for payment was not followed.

In fact, further prepared letters subsequently arrived at Commerzbank subsidiaries.

According to a police spokesman, there is no evidence so far that the letter to the Fürth law firm is related or that the law firm has anything to do with Commerzbank.
