Mexican authorities will perform a new autopsy on Debanhi Escobar to "fully" clarify how he lost his life

The Mexican government announced this Thursday that it will carry out another autopsy to clarify the death of Debanhi Escobar, the young woman whose body was found in the cistern of a motel in Nuevo León after several days missing and in the midst of a great popular commotion.

The undersecretary of Public Security, Ricardo Mejía, indicated this Thursday during the morning press conference of the president, Andrés Manuel López Obrador, that they agreed on May 13 with the parents of the 18-year-old girl, due to the inconsistencies between the first official autopsy and the one commissioned by the family, according to the newspaper Reforma. 

"Both opinions have differences, one appreciates that there was no sexual assault, another appreciates that there was and different causes of death," Mejía said.
