New crucial hearing: at the Palais de Justice in Paris, Me Sylvie Noachovitch, lawyer for Omar Raddad, is preparing to defend her client again before the commission of instruction of the court of revision.
Depending on the exchanges this Thursday, Justice can take several decisions: first, order new requests for information, reject others.
It could also reject all of the Moroccan gardener's requests (as during a first attempt in 2002), or even launch a review of the trial, or even quash the judgment.
In this last hypothesis, the court would thus restore to Omar Raddad, convicted of the murder of Ghislaine Marchal, on June 23, 1991 in Mougins in the Alpes-Maritimes, the innocence he has always claimed.

Four male DNA on the door
The commission of instruction of the court of revision agreed last December to reopen the file of the murder of Ghislaine Marchal.
The magistrates had “
accepted the requests for additional information
” made by the defence.
These relate to scientific analyzes which highlight four male DNA on exhibits, none corresponding to that of Omar Raddad.
On the doors, bearing the famous inscriptions "
Omar killed me
" and "
Omar killed me
", DNA appears 35 times, notably mixed with the blood of the victim, or even between the traces of the fingers of Ghislaine Marchal … As if she had been held by the hand while writing her accusation.
To this aspect are added new elements, revealed in a book, "
Ministry of Injustice
(Jean-Michel Décugis, Pauline Guéna and Marc Leplongeon), on a track that was ultimately not exploited.
Between 2002 and 2004, an investigation was carried out by the gendarmes in connection with the prosecutor of Grasse, on the basis of the testimony of a source (with confirmed reliability) saying he was tormented to know Omar Raddad condemned.
According to this, the murder of Ghislaine Marchal was the result of a burglary that went wrong.
Reports in this procedure clearly evoke a possibility of exonerating Omar Raddad.
Two brothers, one of them detained in another case for attempted murder, are identified as suspects.
