Prince William is increasingly following in the footsteps of Queen Elizabeth II. As a representative of the monarch, he is also given new and important responsibilities.
Windsor – Queen Elizabeth II (96) appreciates the fact that Prince William (39) is always there when there is a need.
The monarch has faith in her grandson, who will one day wear her crown.
William is one of the sympathizers of the British royal family and proves again and again that he is up to his later role as regent.

In the last few days, Prince William has completed several royal premieres, all of which he has mastered with flying colors.
Alongside Prince Charles (73), the Duke of Cambridge attended this year's Parliamentary Opening in London for the first time, which Queen Elizabeth was unable to attend due to "mobility problems".
Shortly thereafter, he traveled to the United Arab Emirates on behalf of the Queen to express his condolences to the new President Muhammad bin Zayid Al Nahyan (61) on the death of his predecessor and half-brother Sheikh Khalifa (73, † 2022).

Shortly after his return to Great Britain, the Duke of Cambridge finally made his way to Windsor, where the next historic appointment awaited him.
In front of Windsor Castle, Prince William, dressed in uniform and a bearskin hat, presented the Irish Guards, one of Queen Elizabeth II's five body regiments, with their new "Colours".
"Colours" are the flags that represent the different regiments of the British military.
This honor was bestowed on the 39-year-old, who was made a Colonel in the Irish Guards in 2011, for the first time.

Prince William: He sees the new flag again on the Queen's throne jubilee
The Irish Guards will proudly fly their new flags at the traditional Trooping the Color military parade in June.
The parade kicks off the four-day celebrations of Queen Elizabeth's Jubilee in 2022.
After the pageant, the Royal Family will appear on the balcony of Buckingham Palace – a highlight of the jubilee, which hopefully Elizabeth will be able to experience despite her limited mobility.
