Gauting - The actor and musician Ernst Matthias Friedrich from Gauting invites you to the premiere of his new reading "Holy Ground - Heilige Erde - Tierra Sagrada" in the Apostelkirche.
Old texts can be heard in a new way.
In between there is music with guitar and violin.
The reading will take place as part of the "Opus Genesis 1" series of events on Friday, May 20, at 7:30 p.m. in the Stockdorfer Apostelkirche, Peter-Dörfler-Straße 14.
Old texts that can be heard in a new way, new texts that tell of old wisdom.
From the Bible, from Alexander von Humboldt, from indigenous men and women, from Karl Marx and many others.
In between music with guitar and violin.
90 minutes that make us think and touch us, that connect us to the earth we live on, but also let us feel our separateness.
Do old stories help shape our future?
Are they perhaps important nourishment on our journey through time?
Although the act of gratitude may seem harmless, it is a revolutionary thought.
In a consumer society, contentment is a radical proposition.
When we see abundance instead of scarcity, it undermines an economy built on ever-changing needs.
Gratitude instills an ethic of abundance, while economics needs emptiness.
(Robin Wall Kimmerer in "Twisted Sweet Grass")
Ernst Matthias Friedrich will appear at the event as a speaker and violinist, Stefan Donderer will play the guitar.
