The United Kingdom is one of the most popular countries for Hong Kong students to study abroad. In the past, the Universities and Colleges Admissions Affairs Office (UCAS) in the United Kingdom has set up a score comparison table to compare the scores of international qualifications including DSE and non-UK regulated qualifications.

The HKEAA quoted UCAS as announcing that it will remove the score comparison table including DSE, and institutions can directly use DSE scores to admit students according to their admission requirements. The new arrangement applies to students who will study in the UK from September 2023.

The HKEAA stressed that UCAS confirmed that the relevant changes will not affect the recognition of DSE, and students can continue to apply for admission to UK institutions with DSE scores and the previous procedures.
