Two weeks before the Colombian elections, the country's attorney general suspended the mayor of Medellín and three other officials for allegedly using their position for proselytizing purposes.
The municipal chief of Medellín, Daniel Quintero, describes the sanction as arbitrary and unconstitutional.
Attorney Margarita Cabello accused Quintero and the other officials of "alleged and repeated involvement in political activities and controversies." Carmen Aristegui spoke with Quintero.
