This 70's look that seems straight out of a movie between

and
Charlie's Angels
is the work of the famous British hairdresser Guido Palau, precursor of hair trends in the beauty industry.
"Gisele is very glamorous, so it was her essence that inspired the look," says the expert in an interview with the magazine, "her hair is a big part of her beauty - so I just wanted to highlight it and make them really beautiful and exaggerated, because we do fashion and it's a fantasy.
Everyone loves a bit of glamour.”
The handkerchief technique
To create this cascade of plump curls on the model's golden blonde hair, Guido Palau first applied a thickening hair cream to her still damp lengths, before blow-drying them.
Then, the specialist used an unexpected technique to achieve XXL waves: “I put [the] dry hair in rolled up handkerchiefs.
I took strands and wrapped the hair in them, which is a very old, Victorian way of curling hair,” he reveals in the interview.
This trick would give a much softer result than with a curling iron which, according to him, gives a more defined and sophisticated appearance.
The desired effect with this tissue method is to inject maximum volume and texture into this retro styled mane, rather than creating perfect waves.
So, to your handkerchiefs!
