According to many, Untere Dorfstraße is seldom so free of parked vehicles.
On the left the sidewalk, which should now be better marked.

The Weichs Building and Environment Committee has now dealt with two problem areas in the districts of Aufhausen and Ebersbach in terms of parking.
The reason for this was the reintroduction of the monitoring of “stationary traffic”.
The municipal administration consulted the municipal traffic monitoring association (ZV KVÜ) about the junction of Weichser Strasse with Hauptstrasse in Aufhausen.
According to this, parking opposite junctions like this one is permitted as long as traffic is not excessively affected.
But that is not the case.
In order to still prevent parking there, it is possible to designate a no-parking area opposite the junction.
The committee finally decided to place a parking ban opposite the junction between the property entrances at house numbers 16 and 20.
The second problem area is the Untere Dorfstraße in Ebersbach in the direction of Biechlhof.
There are two different points of view here.
The local residents occasionally point out to the town hall administration that cars are parked on the sidewalk and that the children/pedestrians therefore have to move onto the street.
However, if the cars park next to the sidewalk, the passage width is reduced so that agricultural vehicles can hardly pass.
And when the cars park on the opposite side of the sidewalk, the drivers are forced to switch to the sidewalk.
Of course, local residents also complain about this.
The police do not consider a stopping ban in the area of Untere Dorfstraße to be sensible.
Since the sidewalk is not recognizable as such due to its small width and the lack of curb height - at least three centimeters - it is basically part of the roadway according to consultation with the ZV KVÜ.
Parking on the sidewalk can therefore not be monitored, let alone punished.
The committee finally decided unanimously to identify the sidewalk as such with appropriate signage.
Before the vote, Simon Kammermeier (SPD) pointed out that there were a lot of children in this area and that he almost saw the street as a playground where safety had to be guaranteed.
He also believed that there was almost no agricultural traffic as only the Biechlhof had its fields there.
Andreas Lamprecht (CSU) disagreed.
He knows other farmers who actually use the road but would have to take detours because of the narrowness.
Matthias Hermann (WBV) also recalled the parents' duty to inform their children of the dangers of playing on the street.
