The Pakistani police announced today that two of its members were killed in a terrorist attack in the northwest province of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
"Unidentified gunmen opened fire on the vehicle carrying the two policemen in Peshawar, killing them," Xinhua news agency quoted the police as saying in a statement.
No one has claimed responsibility for the attack, while the police cordoned off the site of the attack and began investigations.
This is the third terrorist attack in Peshawar this week, where three people were killed in similar assassinations.
