The slip of the former president of the United States, who spoke during an event in Dallas this Wednesday, caused a general burst of laughter in the assembly.
He then made self-mockery by pointing to his advanced age to justify his mistake.
In 2003, George W. Bush, then President of the United States, had launched the American invasion of Iraq under the pretext of responding to a threat of weapons of mass destruction - which it would later be revealed were not have never existed.
