A Paraguayan mayor was shot and now fights for his life

José Carlos Acevedo, mayor of the city of Pedro Juan Caballero, Paraguay, was the victim of an attack that put his life at risk.

As confirmed by the authorities, the mayor was wounded by a bullet and shortly after underwent surgery.
