If kindergarten is completely canceled from one day to the next, it is a real nightmare for many parents.

Exactly this scenario played out in Ottobrunn's "Villa Kunterbunt".

Ottobrunn

- On Friday, May 6th, the parents were informed that no more children could be looked after for the time being.

For three days they had to take care of their children themselves at home.

In the "Villa Kunterbunt" there are one kindergarten and two after-school care groups, a total of 75 children.

Operations cannot be maintained there until further notice.

As mayor Thomas Loderer reported when asked by Münchner Merkur, “five out of nine educators are currently on sick leave.

These are skilled workers who, according to the key, are necessary for the company to be able to run".

Including the two daycare managers.

According to the mayor, it is no secret that the two do not get along well with the managing director of Kita Ottobrunn GmbH.

"The fact is that it is unusual when five people are missing at the same time, and there is also a dispute that has resulted in legal proceedings."

Kita near Munich has to close: emergency solution found

Therefore, the municipality of Ottobrunn was forced to act quickly.

The managing director of the day-care center in Ottobrunn, Kerstin Patel, Mayor Loderer and head of the main office, Wolfgang Walter, were feverishly looking for an emergency solution.

The result alleviates the problem somewhat for the parents.

The 25 kindergarten children are cared for in the area of school III on Albert-Schweitzer-Straße: in the house for children "The Tramps".

A group there was not open due to a lack of staff, but with a clever redistribution, operation is now possible again.

The supplementary workers at Villa Kunterbunt are used by the "rascals" and, in combination with the skilled workers there, meet the requirements for operation.

This solution is not ideal because of the longer travel distances and shorter opening hours,

but at least there is care until 2 p.m.

The parents have to bridge the remaining hours of the working day.

Day care center closed: 34 children without a place - "would be satisfied if career changers contacted us"

But there are still the 50 day care children.

15 of them, most of them from the first and second grades, are also accommodated by the "rascals".

A transport service has been organized for them so that they can get from school II to after-school care at school III.

The remaining children have no place and their parents have to look elsewhere.

Mayor Loderer has just learned that a child has found shelter in St. Magdalena's after-school care center.

An exception.

In consultation with the other providers, the municipality is looking for emergency care for the other children.

The website www.kita-ottobrunn.de advertises for helpers.

Mayor Loderer: “We would be satisfied if career changers would contact us.

You don't have to have completed a pedagogical education."

Daycare is closed: Parents are desperate - the mayor sees the matter as a matter for the boss

The mayor can understand that such a situation is a disaster for the parents.

You plan your professional life, and in everyday family life you have to be able to rely on the booking times.

He understands everyone who considers the situation to be a threat to their existence.

That's why he sees the matter as a top priority and last week sought to talk to the parents at an information evening.

How things will continue in Villa Kunterbunt is unclear.

The outcome of the employment law process remains to be seen.

Loderer: "But the aim is to get the facility up and running again as quickly as possible."
