Iran confirmed today its seriousness to reach a sustainable agreement in the Vienna negotiations to end the embargo imposed on it.
IRNA quoted Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian as saying, in a telephone conversation with the European Union's foreign policy chief, Josep Borrell, that the Islamic Republic of Iran possesses the goodwill and the necessary will to reach a strong and sustainable agreement in the Vienna negotiations.
Abdollahian indicated that during the recent visit of the European Union's foreign policy assistant, Enrique Mora, to Tehran, Iranian initiatives were discussed, pointing to the importance of constructive efforts to reach an agreement.
For his part, Borrell referred to the initiatives put forward by Iran during the Vienna negotiations, pointing out the European Union's determination to continue efforts in the current contacts to bring the views between Tehran and Washington closer.
