The actress loves them so much that she will go so far as to wear them in two of her films:
Le Parfait Accord (Perfect Understanding),
in 1933, then
Sunset Boulevard,
in 1950, where she stacks them on the same wrist.
Their voluminous structure and their effects of transparency underlined by brilliants are perfectly suited to the black and white of the time.
On film, their brilliance is accentuated by the white satin dresses, the sumptuous light sets and the strong, sometimes dazzling, lights of the studios.
