A strong signal against train noise: Well over 200 participants came to an event in the ATV hall in Kirchseeon - despite the best beer garden weather.

The mood is moving in the direction of clear protest against the expansion plans.

Kirchseeon

- Additional chairs were brought in.

Those who came late had to stand.

It became clear that in order to be successful, the citizens must become active, but regional politics must also be involved.

The railway noise working group wants to use modern media.

Right at the beginning of the evening, a video by Ulrich Seidel from Kirchseeon-Moos flickered across the screen, which can also be viewed on YouTube.

Train numbers in Kirchseeon will increase significantly

With the completion of the Brenner Base Tunnel in 2030 and the northern approach to Munich, the number of trains in Kirchseeon will increase significantly.

In the southern district, additional tracks and routes are being discussed.

Also means: more noise protection.

In Kirchseeon, on the other hand, four tracks will be merged onto the existing two tracks at about the level of Kirchseeon-Moos, with a bridge structure.

The trains will be heard from afar.

In order to be able to route more trains on the existing route, block compression is planned.

In addition, the working group fears negative effects on the S-Bahn.

Because no new tracks will be built, there will probably not be sufficient additional noise protection.

The population is already very stressed by the railway noise.

The working group demands noise protection according to new building standards.

"Not maximum noise protection," said Alexander Höpler in his technical introduction to the topic.

The term is not precisely defined.

"The railway understands something different by that than we do."

Doctor points out the health consequences of noise

Wilfried Seidelmann pointed out the health consequences of noise.

The doctor had a practice in Kirchseeon for many years.

He spoke of sleep disorders, stress hormones, the risk of heart attacks and strokes.

Seidelmann took responsibility for the railways.

Due to the contamination of the former railway sleeper factory, the municipality already has a large mortgage.

Now there is another one due to additional noise.

"We won't put up with that.

Let's fight for our homeland.

I'm still there."

Susanne Höpler, co-founder of the Bahnlärm working group: “The decisions have to be made now.

If we sleep through it, we don't have to complain afterwards."

"They don't argue with us.

We don't know whether they will accept our arguments.” According to Höpler, dialogue is something completely different.

Apparently it is difficult to find the right contact person.

But one thing seems clear: "We have to go to the Federal Ministry of Transport."

The railway noise working group praises local politicians

Höpler praised local politicians.

The member of the Bundestag Andreas Lenz (CSU) had already handed over signatures in Berlin, but without success.

The members of the state parliament Doris Rauscher (SPD) and Thomas Huber (CSU) had campaigned.

District Administrator Robert Niedergesäß (CSU) held hearings.

Höpler called for more pressure to build up.

Other high-ranking politicians from the district were asked to get involved.

So Angelika Niebler (Vaterstetten), MEP, deputy party leader of the CSU and Ebersberg district councillor, as well as Martin Hagen (Vaterstetten), state chairman of the FDP and until recently also district councilor.

After all, politicians are dependent on votes, according to an argument from the room.

There were many questions and suggestions from the participants, not only on the subject of noise, but also on vibrations, dust, possible accidents, dangerous goods being transported or vibrations of the ground in the moss.
