District – May has come – and with it the bathing season.
Some prefer the lakes.
That is why the Landsberg health department has been examining the water quality of the natural bathing waters since mid-May.
And publishes the results on the website of the Landsberg district office.
The focus is on the bacteriological examination of the water samples, informs district office spokesman Wolfgang Müller.
Of course, one also pays attention to residues containing tar, glass, plastic, rubber or other waste.
Here's the good news: "All the bathing waters examined are currently of excellent quality." However, when the sun is strong, the temperatures in the lakes also slowly rise.
The Ammersee is currently still 18 degrees.
In addition to the five EU bathing areas on the western shore of Lake Ammer, another 14 bathing opportunities in the district, such as Lechstaustufe 20 near Scheuring, Auensee, Lechstaustufe 15 in Landsberg, the Penzinger, Hurlacher and Geltendorfer Baggerse, and the Windach reservoir, are also being examined every four weeks until mid-September or the village pond Reichling.
Head of Health Dr.
In addition to routine checks, Birgit Brünesholz will also carry out unscheduled and event-related checks, Müller informs.
