Milan Cathedral and its stained glass windows on Google Arts & Culture

Anyone will be able to explore the hidden details of the Cathedral, Museum and Archive of the Veneranda Fabbrica (ANSA) online


   A new digital hub will tell the story of Milan Cathedral and its more than 50 windows in an unprecedented way.

The Veneranda Fabbrica del Duomo joins Google Arts & Culture, the technological platform developed by Google to promote and preserve culture online, with the publication of the Milan Cathedral Remixed hub (web address

).



    Anyone will be able to explore the hidden contents and details of the Cathedral, Museum and Archive of the Veneranda Fabbrica online.



    In particular, the Veneranda Fabbrica has collaborated with Google Arts & Culture to bring the beauties of the Milan Cathedral online, with more than 500 images, more than 50 digitized windows for a total of over 2,000 doors in Gigapixel and 15 itineraries on Street View in the Cathedral and inside the Duomo Museum.

It will also be possible to explore online the most hidden points such as the Crypt or the highest and most known ones such as the Terraces.



    "We know that Shelley loved to read the Divine Comedy in the 'soft and golden' light of the stained glass windows of the Duomo", commented Fedele Confalonieri, president of the Veneranda Fabbrica del Duomo di Milano.
