GAP - Several shoplifters were caught red-handed on Thursday afternoon.
Around 2:00 p.m., a consumer market in the GEP center received information about two fifteen-year-old thieves who wanted to take advantage of the opportunity and smuggle a few bars of chocolate past the checkout area.
However, the young men from the district were observed by the shop detective and held until the police arrived.
They had to leave the branch without chocolate, accompanied by their parents who had been called.
The value of the groceries amounts to almost 20 euros.
At around 4:00 p.m., the police also received a message from a clothing store on Chamonixstrasse, in which two women (27 and 17 years old) living in Garmisch-Partenkirchen were caught removing labels from several items of clothing.
Here, too, the theft was prevented by the attentive observation of the staff and the police were notified, who, during the search of the women's backpacks, seized further stolen goods from nearby shops.
The value of the clothing is around 60 euros.
Criminal proceedings have been initiated against all shoplifters, and they are no longer allowed to enter the shops concerned due to a ban on the premises.
