First Deputy Permanent Representative of Russia to the United Nations, Dmitry Polyansky, affirmed that Western countries are offering Ukraine arms in exchange for grain, pointing out that these countries were not able, during the UN Security Council meeting, to refute the existence of such an agreement.
According to TASS, Polyansky said: “We asked our Western colleagues in the meeting directly to publicly refute this narrative, which many experts are inclined towards today, but no one has refuted it, nor has anyone explained how these Ukrainian grain deliveries contribute to enhancing global food security, which is Which Western countries are talking about loudly.”
Russia's permanent representative to the United Nations, Vasily Nebenzia, confirmed yesterday at a meeting of the UN Security Council on conflicts and food security that the exported Ukrainian grain does not go to needy countries, but is pumped into European Union storage facilities in exchange for arms supplies, as Nebenzia requested from his Western counterparts, primarily the United States. The United States and the European Union refuted the grain-for-weapons narrative, but did not get an answer from them.
