Pride at First Sight Israel today

In a week when a pride parade is canceled because of threats, a proud couple in prime time is a brave move

Pride events are imminent and will likely be discussed more, but two important events have already caught my eye this week.

The first, very unfortunate, is the cancellation of the Pride Parade in Netivot following threats on the life of one of the organizers.

The second, which will come on Saturday evening and will make me very happy, is that in the heart of Rainbow 12's prime time, two men will march to the canopy.

The promo is already in the air, and the glider photos show one of the changes.

If in straight pairs the groom walks to the canopy first and the bride follows, in this episode the two grooms walk together into the big moment.

For several seasons you have been asking to claim that they are looking for same-sex couples for the show.

According to the results, it is doubtful how much effort has been invested in the search, but that is really not the case.

The move to cast a pair of men is welcome in the spirit of the period, but he is also brave.

In the human mind a wedding consists of a man, a woman and what dress the bride wore.

In a male wedding two of these elements do not exist.

Request took one of their successful formats and put it at risk.

While this is one of seven couples in the season and on Thursday who are getting married, the decision is very self-evident and worthy of appreciation.

Apparently, in the American version we have not yet married a gay couple and in the British version they only mentioned the sixth season, which is broadcast these days.

I really hope for J. and M. that the match will work, but for me, the question of whether the relationship will succeed or not is not the point of their story.

In my estimation, most viewers at home did not attend a gay wedding, and the episode will provide for them a glimpse into such a beautiful one.

Who will love - Welcome.

For those who do not - for him this episode is even more important. In a country where a pride parade is canceled in Netivot because of threats, broadcasting such an episode four days away is even more significant and powerful, and personally excites me greatly.

Now all that remains is for the editors not to fall into clichés as happened with the issue of the bride's size at Maayan and Ben's wedding.

After all, and maybe I'm too optimistic, maybe it's going to be the opening shot that will ultimately make Jerusalem's decision makers understand that we, like everyone else, are allowed to get married.
