After the verdict in the savings bank process, the prosecutor's office and the district savings bank are now back on the train.

You have to decide on the amount of the pension cuts for Jakob Kreidl and Georg Bromme.

Miesbach/Munich

– The grueling days of the trial came to an end for Georg Bromme and Jakob Kreidl on Wednesday.

On the other hand, the consequences of the judgment of the Munich II Regional Court will keep them busy for a long time. While the two prison sentences (Bromme one year and eight months, Kreidl eleven months) were suspended on probation, the ex-district administrator and the former chairman of the board of the district savings bank received the conviction Elsewhere it is felt much more strongly because it is more immediate: you have to do community service and prepare for serious pension cuts.

For the former, only the extent is known so far.

Bromme has to do 300 hours and Kreidl 200 hours of community service.

Yesterday, the press office of the regional court could not provide any information on where and when they do this or by whom this is determined.

The prosecutor's office is waiting for a final verdict

Meanwhile, the state prosecutor's office in Bavaria, which has to decide on Kreidl's future pension entitlements, is waiting for the judgment to become final.

Press spokesman Robert Kirchmaier announced that the disciplinary proceedings would be continued once the criminal proceedings had been concluded with legal effect.

Irrespective of the question of whether an appeal will be lodged against the conviction, the state prosecutor's office is already requesting the criminal judgment and, on this basis, will again review the provisional withholding of the pro rata pension confirmed by the Munich Administrative Court.

This was ordered after the first criminal judgment in August 2020, “because the disciplinary authority assumed that the pension would be withdrawn with a high degree of probability on this basis”.

Currently, the prosecutor's office does not seem to be assuming that anything will change in this assessment.

At least that can be read from the final sentence of Kirchmaier's answer: "In its decision on Wednesday, the Munich Regional Court does not seem to have reached a significantly different criminal assessment than in the first criminal judgment."

Kreissparkasse makes it clear: "No room for negotiation for Mr. Bromme"

The Kreissparkasse Miesbach-Tegernsee, which is responsible for Bromme's pension entitlements, will also be guided by this, the press office announced on request.

The guidelines resulting from the judgment of the Munich II Regional Court will be fully adhered to.

As soon as the judgment is final, the appropriate steps will be taken.

Sparkasse emphasizes that there is no room for negotiation for Mr. Bromme.

The reduction in retirement benefits is based purely on the court's criminal assessment.
