A 35-year-old computer technician was charged with one count of intentionally providing false information in an attempt to mislead a police officer by using the false "Safe Travel" app in a shop in Kwun Tong Plaza last year.
The case will appear in the Kwun Tong Court today (20th), and the defendant does not need to answer for the time being. The defense applied to adjourn the case until July 15th, pending the defendant’s appointment of a private lawyer and the approval of the magistrate, during which the defendant was released on bail pending trial.
The defendant, Ye Zhida, was charged with 1 count of intentionally providing false information with intent to mislead a police officer, alleging that on November 21, 2021, he attempted to obstruct the achievement of justice at the "Game World" on the 1st floor of Kwun Tong Plaza, Kwun Tong, Kowloon, Hong Kong, And provide false information, that is, false visit records on the "Safe Travel" app, in an attempt to mislead the police officer, namely Police Constable 19058.
