The problems that Washington is having in holding the Summit of the Americas are music to China's ears, because they shine a spotlight on a chasm between the United States and a region that has gotten out of hand.
Hence Biden's interest in having the Mexican president reconsider and attend, because he knows that without Mexico there is no bridge.
