Hundreds of thousands of Israelis have passed and are expected to pass through the Taba crossing during 2022. On the way to Sinai, many Israelis encountered long queues and a wait that reached even long hours.
Now (Friday) the Airports Authority, which is also responsible for the Taba crossing, announces that on Shavuot, between June 1-7, the Taba crossing will be open 24/7.
Many travelers were waiting for this news, some of whom even gave up on arriving in Sinai due to the long queues.
Now the queues are expected to be significantly reduced due to the opening of the border crossing around the clock during the holidays and after.
Pentecost goes out this year near the weekend, allowing many vacationers to go out for a long weekend.
It is estimated that tens of thousands of Israelis are expected to cross the border into Egypt to vacation in Sinai during Pentecost.
