Truck body gets stuck on three bridges

Because a 47-year-old forgot to fully retract his truck crane before driving, he got stuck on three bridges.

Fürstenfeldbruck – On Thursday, May 19, a driver got stuck on three bridges of the B 471 with a crane attached to his truck and caused significant traffic disruptions.

"The 47-year-old forgot to retract the crane completely before driving," explains Police Chief Inspector Oliver Erhardt.

"When it drove onto the main road at the Fürstenfeldbruck-Mitte junction at around 1 p.m., its body got stuck on a total of three bridges."

In the process, chunks of concrete came loose and flew onto a following vehicle.

After a hydraulic hose burst and contaminated the ground, the fire brigade and the water management office had to be informed.

Until the truck was recovered, there was considerable traffic jams, as one lane was temporarily closed.

The truck suffered damage worth several thousand euros.
