The judge adjourned the sentencing until June 6, pending the receipt of the two defendants' re-education through labor and training center reports.
The judge also ordered the two to pay 13,800 yuan each for the maintenance cost of the fence involved in the case of 27,600 yuan.
Two defendants, Zheng Yi (19 years old) and Li Chongxi (20 years old), were charged with participating in an unlawful assembly with others in the area of Pedder Street in Central on November 13, 2019.
Zheng Yiyuan was also charged with 1 count of using a mask while in an unlawful assembly, which was allowed to be kept in court files without prosecution.

The facts of the case allege that some people gathered illegally on Pedder Street at noon on the day of the crime. Some people wore normal work clothes, while others wore black clothes. The police set up three lines of defense in the area.
