GAP - The Werdenfels artists have been homeless since the market gallery had to close in 2018 in favor of the tourism administration.
It was said that the rooms would be needed until the tourism administration could move into the previously converted building of the former Olympic cinema.
In fact, the conversion has only just started in 2022.
This means that the Werdenfels artists could easily have exhibited in the vacant gallery of the market for three years.
So be it, a new solution was needed.
And since artists are creative, the "Temporary Gallery" was founded.
The newly founded “Association for the Promotion of Cultural Education” had the idea of making the glass pavilion at the entrance to Eschenlohe available to artists for a temporary exhibition.
Originally only until April 2022, because the pavilion is unfortunately no longer available, but the current exhibition was made available to the "Förderverein für Kulturbildung" until mid-May due to the great response and goodwill of the pavilion's landlords.
But then it will also be over in Eschenlohe and the Werdenfels artists will be homeless again.
However, “temporary gallery” also means that the exhibitions can be held in different rooms, locations, etc. from time to time.
If you have an idea, or if you can only make rooms available temporarily, then contact Hubert Bader, the first director of the Werdenfelser artists, Tel.: 08821-3531.
