A 15-year-old boy was indicted for "murder" on Saturday May 21 and placed in pre-trial detention after the death of an 18-year-old young man on the night of Wednesday to Thursday in Amiens, the prosecution announced.

Thursday around 3:45 a.m., the victim had been hit by "
two firearm shots at close range
" while she was sitting behind the wheel of a rental vehicle in the Saint-Ladre district, in Amiens, reports the prosecutor of the Republic of Amiens Alexandre de Bosschère in a press release.
Targeted by a search warrant, the suspect went himself to the Amiens police station on Thursday, with several members of his family, and was taken into custody.
Drug trafficking?
This teenager, who is "
not known unfavorably to the police or the justice
system", has "
essentially exercised his right to remain silent
" in police custody, continues the prosecutor.
The young man who was killed had already been convicted when he was a minor.

The context of this crime has not been established at this stage of the investigation, even if witnesses mentioned the existence of drug trafficking
,” he adds.
He also underlines the absence of a link established "
for the moment
" with violence by firearm committed last February in front of a college in Amiens and mentioned by the local press.
