Today, the Iraqi capital, Baghdad, witnessed the official funeral of the poet Muzaffar Al-Nawab, who died yesterday in the United Arab Emirates.
According to the Iraqi News Agency, "conscious", the body of the deputies poet arrived this morning at Baghdad International Airport on a presidential plane and was transferred to the headquarters of the Writers' Union, where the funeral ceremony took place in the presence of governmental, cultural and popular figures.
It is scheduled that the body of the deputies poet will be buried in Najaf based on his will, according to the Iraqi Minister of Culture, Hassan Nazim.
The great Iraqi poet Muzaffar Al-Nawab died yesterday in a hospital in the Emirates at the age of 88, due to a terminal illness.
It is noteworthy that the representatives were born in 1934 in Karkh, the capital, Baghdad. He studied at the University of Baghdad, got involved in political work, and moved between several capitals, including Damascus, Beirut, Baghdad and other European cities.
The late one of the most famous poets of Iraq in the modern era stood in his popular and eloquent poems on the side of the poor and the toiling and Arab issues.
