The open day at the company "Holzner-Druckbehälter" and its subsidiary "blueFlux Energy" met with great interest.

The clear message: the Peißenberg site will be retained.

Peißenberg

– There was a lot going on at the open day on the company premises of Holzner-Druckbehälter on Bergwerkstraße: While the children were having fun in the bouncy castle, the groups of visitors were guided through the factory halls and offices every 15 minutes.

There was a lot of information about the production process and operations from the guides.

And after the look behind the company scenes, the culinary offers could still be used.

The core business of the company, which started more than 26 years ago with 21 employees and is located in the old colliery, among other things, is the manufacture of pressure vessels in all variations - for example for the medical sector.

In the meantime grown to 90 employees

However, the “blueFlux” brand is now also part of the future strategy.

The subsidiary has specialized in the manufacture of systems that convert biogenic waste materials into high-quality energy carriers such as green hydrogen, biochar, biomethanol and biomethane within a few hours at economically justifiable costs.

In the meantime, the overall structure with the pressure vessel and energy sector has grown to almost 90 employees - and the trend is rising.

In any case, those responsible have ambitious plans: A completely new, larger and more modern company headquarters is to be built from scratch.

Of course, the community wants to keep it local.

“We are working to ensure that 'blueFlux' and 'Holzner pressure vessels' remain.

The market council is fully behind it," explains Mayor Frank Zellner.

And there is also a clear commitment from "blueFlux" authorized signatory Ulrich Mach: "We want to stay!"

The free area to the west of the former BHS steel construction hall was targeted as the new location - i.e. not far away from the current company headquarters.

The new building is to be financed, among other things, with an urban planning marketing of the existing location.

Discussions are already underway with the town hall administration and the market council regarding a possible new company site regarding a change in the development plan.

The currently valid plan would already allow a medium-sized business to settle west of the steel construction hall, but according to reports "blueFlux" or "Holzner-Druckbehälter" would like to build larger than the building limits currently allow.

Mach speaks of an “exciting process in which many cogs have to come together”.

New impetus for renewable energies

The war in Ukraine and the volatile supply situation with regard to oil and gas have once again given tremendous impetus to the topic of renewable energies - and thus also to the production of green hydrogen: "We are feeling a lot of tailwind," says Mach.

The Bavarian Ministry of Economic Affairs is also putting pressure on him.

As is well known, "blueFlux" received grants during the development phase.

Now it's time for the implementation phase, i.e. the construction of the plant.

An order from the heavy clay industry has already been received.

Another "blueFlux" system will be built on a farm in Windkreut.

According to Mach, as pilot projects, both projects should be a “blueprint” for industry and agriculture.

And when should the new company headquarters next to the former BHS steel construction hall be finished?

"We want to be over there in a year or a year and a half," says Mach.
