In Vohburg an der Donau, a canoeist fished something out of the water on a trip.
It turned out to be human remains.
The police are investigating.

On a boat trip on Thursday (May 19), he saw something floating in the water.
Canoeist fishes corpse out of the Danube: criminal police have taken over the case
As the police announced, the canoeist brought the floating object near Vohburg an der Donau on Thursday with his paddle.
However, it was not clear until Saturday that these were human remains, according to a police spokeswoman.
Now that this seems to be clear, the Ingolstadt criminal police have taken over the investigation.
The body is currently being autopsied.
A result is not yet available.
The police headquarters in Upper Bavaria North cannot provide any further information at this time.
Canoeist finds body in the Danube: police search at the site
On Saturday, a search operation by the police took place on the Danube.
Emergency services searched the shore area and the water surface with police divers and a boat, the police said on Saturday.
A jogger made a similarly gruesome find in Munich at the end of last year.
In a forest he came across two lifeless people.
In this case, too, the police investigated.
