Fatal traffic accident in Cheung Sha Wan.
At about 1 am today (22nd), an empty NWFB was driving along Lai Po Road, Cheung Sha Wan. When it approached KMB’s Lai Chi Kok Depot, it slammed the left rear of a staff coach, and the NWF bus was on the left side. The male driver was trapped in the car and was found and called the police.
Fire and police officers arrived at the scene, and doctors from the fire collapse rescue team and mobile medical team also arrived and are assisting.
A 51-year-old male driver who was hit by the tourist bus suffered injuries to his hands and feet and was taken to hospital for treatment.
At about 2:30 in the morning, after NWFB was sending a trailer to take Basra, the 43-year-old NWFB driver was successfully rescued by firefighters. He suffered multiple head and body injuries and was sent to the hospital in a coma. Unfortunately, he eventually died after rescue. .
The front of the new bus was severely damaged, and the cockpit was deformed; the left rear of the tourist bus was also damaged.
Police are investigating the cause and circumstances of the accident.
According to on-site information, the tourist bus was parked on the road at the time of the incident, waiting to pick up the staff.

The police pointed out that at about 0:58 in the morning today (22nd), a 43-year-old man was driving a bus along Laibao Road towards the container terminal. The tourist bus collided.
The bus driver was trapped in the car and was rescued by firefighters.
The man suffered multiple head and body injuries and was taken to Princess Margaret Hospital in a coma, where he was certified dead at 2.55am.
A 51-year-old male driver on the tour bus suffered injuries to his hands and feet and was taken to Princess Margaret Hospital for treatment.
The Special Investigation Team of Traffic Kowloon West is following up the case.
