Festwirt for the 1250th anniversary jumps off at short notice

For the 1250th anniversary of the municipality of Haimhausen, plans are currently being frantically rescheduled.

The reason is the surprising cancellation of the festival host.

Shock in Haimhausen: Because the innkeeper canceled at short notice, the municipality has to organize the marquee operation for its 1250-year celebration on its own.

– On Wednesday, May 25th, the mayor of Haimhausen, Peter Felbermeier, will tap the first barrel for the five-day marquee operation for the 1250-year celebration.

When the beer flows, the management executives have earned a free measure.

Because host Jochen Mörz canceled at short notice, as Felbermeier announced on Thursday evening in the municipal council.

With the organization on their own, the mayor and the municipal administration are now performing a small miracle.

The cancellation came as a complete surprise.

Jochen Mörz: "A double festival with Mammendorf and Haimhausen was planned, but I don't see myself able to organize these two festivals.

Until a week ago, I tried everything to get another landlord Haimhausen to take over, but everyone canceled me.” He had too few staff and waitresses.

Mörz canceled a few weeks ago in Ismaning with the same reason.

"I'm very sorry that Haimhausen has now been hit," said Mörz.

"I thought about the cancellation for exactly two seconds," said Felbermeier, "but then I picked up the phone and talked on the phone for about 20 hours."

The community appreciates every helping hand

Right now, after two years of the pandemic, the people of Haimhausen want to make this festival possible.

Felbermeier: "A landlord offers a complete package - and we have broken it down into all the individual parts.

We'll improvise.” This weekend the tent will be set up under the guidance of two tent masters.

25 men and one woman volunteered for the work.

At the festival, the Hacker-Pschorr brewery supplies the beer and all the material needed for serving.

Furthermore, the municipality found a security service and a caterer with a barbecue station.

The bar in the tent is run by the fire brigade.

The biggest limitation for visitors will be self-service.

"We don't always agree in Haimhausen," said Felbermeier when presenting the marquee solution to the municipal council, "but when things get tight, the character of a village shows."

Peter Prandl, member of the show band Manyana from Haimhausen, was an enormous help.

"His network is unimaginable," said the mayor.

In addition, cultural advisor Sepp Heigl and local councilor Toni Bredl were at the forefront of the organization.

In administration, Felbermeier bows to Elfriede Heinzinger, "with whom I have a professional marriage 24 hours a day".

There are currently no working hours for the employee to organize the five days that should bring the festival of the year.

But he also praises Anja Flory and Theresia Kugler, who really worked hard.

"You only turn 1250 once," said the head of the town hall.

As Felbermeier emphasized, more helpers are needed - from serving during the tent days to dismantling afterwards.

We are happy about every helping hand.

When everything is done, the mayor will celebrate with Elfriede Heinzinger that after the refusal of the landlord ("The contractual regulations don't matter right now, we'll clarify the legal stuff later"), a small miracle has been achieved.

Luise Kinseher and Django Asül are coming

Luise Kinseher and Django Asül belong to the top league of Bavarian cabaret artists, they alternate with show bands in the Haimhausen festival tent.

Advance tickets are still available for the cabaret evenings.

Luise Kinseher will be our guest on Thursday, May 26th.

Two days later on Saturday, May 28th, Django Asül will perform in the marquee.

Tickets are available from the Haimhausen village shop and the Mayerbacher and Polz bakeries.

The tickets can also be ordered for 21 euros each via the municipality's website (www.haimhausen.de) and the municipal festival website (1250-haimhausen.de/tickets).

The band Silvertown will be playing in the marquee on Wednesday, May 25th.

With the party bands Blechblosn (Thursday, May 26) and Ois Easy (Friday, May 27), two well-known groups have been signed.
