Tomorrow, the Ministry of Health will launch an intensive national campaign to vaccinate against the Corona virus under the slogan (A new opportunity to be safe) and will continue until the 2nd of next June.
The campaign targets all citizens over the age of 18 in various governorates by going directly to approved centers in hospitals, health centers and mobile teams equipped with an official mission.
The Director of Primary Health Care in the Ministry, Razan Al-Tarabishi, explained to SANA reporter, in a previous statement, that the ministry secured all the requirements of the campaign and provided the mobile teams with heat packs to ensure that the vaccines are kept safely, indicating that about 7,400 health workers are participating in the campaign distributed in 37 hospitals, 986 health centers and 386 mobile teams.
Al-Tarabishi stressed that the vaccine is the only solution to maintain the stability of the epidemiological situation and eliminate the pandemic, especially that most countries of the world are awaiting a fifth wave of the spread of the virus, explaining that the vaccine is safe, effective and free, and that according to the recent recommendations of the World Health Organization, it is allowed to be given to pregnant or breastfeeding women, while contraindications to administration are limited. An allergy to a previous vaccine dose or a current infection with the virus.
It is noteworthy that the number of people who received the vaccine completely in Syria reached 3 million and 400,000 people, including 51,000 support doses.
