Iraq announced today that the number of hemorrhagic fever cases has risen to 90.

The spokesman for the Iraqi Ministry of Health, Saif Al-Badr, said in a statement to the Iraqi News Agency (INA), "There is a serious escalation of hemorrhagic fever injuries, as the numbers have risen to 90 injuries and 18 deaths so far in the country."

He added, "It is possible that there will be another increase in the number of injuries due to the presence of suspected cases."

Earlier today, Iraq announced the registration of one death and 4 new cases of the disease in the capital, Baghdad.
