Lattakia firefighting teams put out more than 8 agricultural and weed fires in the governorate's countryside

Lattakia, SANA- The teams of the Lattakia Fire Brigade put out today eight fires with different areas of reeds and herbs.

Today, Latakia Fire Brigade teams extinguished eight fires with different areas of reeds and herbs, the largest of which was a fire in agricultural and forest lands in the village of Qinni in Qardaha countryside, which has entered the cooling stage.

The commander of the Latakia Fire Brigade, Major Muhannad Jaafar, indicated that the fire in the village of Bqni was involved in the entire firefighting system from the Forestry Department and Civil Defense, in addition to the members of the fire brigade, indicating that the fire was brought under control and entered the cooling stage, estimating the affected area at about 50 dunums.

Major Jaafar pointed out that the rest of the fires were dealt with by the regiment's elements, and they were all extinguished, and the damage was limited to limited areas of reeds and weeds.

In the same context, a fire broke out in agricultural lands in the village of Ain al-Arous in the countryside of Qardaha, which was put out by firefighting teams in the Forestry Department of the Directorate of Agriculture, according to the head of the municipal council, Muhammad al-Khair, who estimated the damage at 6 dunums.

According to the Director of Civil Defense, Brigadier General Jalal Daoud, a fire was extinguished in Datour al-Bahluliya through cooperation between the cadres of the Forestry Department and the Civil Defense Directorate elements, which came to about one and a half dunams of agricultural land.
