Many Lufthansa flights are almost completely sold out, and vacationers are particularly drawn to America.
Some are willing to pay astronomically high prices for this.
Frankfurt – Lufthansa seems to be putting the Corona crisis behind it and starting up again economically.
At least that's what Carsten Spohr, head of Lufthansa, hinted at on Thursday (May 19) at the Aviation Club of Washington.
Fully booked flights raise hopes for a strong travel season in 2022.
According to Spohr, luxury tickets at top prices are also being ripped from the hands of the airline, as reported by fnp.de.

Passengers are also paying record prices at Frankfurt Airport.
Well-heeled travelers shell out up to 24,000 dollars (22,650 euros) for a first-class flight from San Francisco to Frankfurt and back, as Stern reports.
Overall, the North American routes are particularly popular and sell out quickly.
"I think in the summer season, to be honest, we're already fully booked anyway," said Spohr.
Frankfurt Airport: Lufthansa is hardly prepared for the onslaught
The run on old people is giving Lufthansa an upswing after the losses of the pandemic years, but the airline is hardly prepared for the onslaught.
This leads to staff shortages.
The Lufthansa boss is therefore currently speaking of “suddenly too many passengers for too few resources.”
After all, Lufthansa has increased the number of destinations in the USA to 25 – more than before the crisis.
In order to cater for all guests and offer as many travel routes as possible, Lufthansa is now looking for reinforcements.
