Germering – The new Caritas old people's home Don Bosco is not only progressing according to plan in terms of construction.

With the appointment of Monika Ueltzöffer to the management of the facility, an important personnel decision has already been made.

The 52-year-old social pedagogue and social manager will take on her role immediately to ensure a successful start to operations in 2023.

In this phase, she coordinates the content and organizational planning with the structural completion, involving the cooperation partners from the municipality and the local church.

Another focus of her work will be recruiting and training future nursing staff at the Don Bosco nursing home.

Ueltzhöffer has been with the Caritas Association since 2010 and during this time managed the Caritas retirement homes St. Willibrord in Munich-Schwabing and St. Josef in Karlsfeld.

"I'm looking forward to the new challenge, because it's a special opportunity to be able to help design a house during the construction phase," emphasizes Ueltzöffer.

"I am very excited to work with my management team to conceptually plan the wide range of offers in Germering and to prepare them as best as possible for successful commissioning."

In the Don Bosco old people's home, 64 places in full inpatient care, assisted living with 67 barrier-free apartments, day care with 25 places and an outpatient care offer are being built.

The first residents should be able to move in in spring 2023.
