The Chairman of the Russian State Duma Committee on International Affairs Leonid Slutsky announced that Moscow is studying the possibility of exchanging Ukrainian politician Viktor Medvedchuk, who is being held by the Ukrainian regime, with Ukrainian prisoners.
Today, we are studying the possibility of exchanging Medvedchuk for soldiers from the Ukrainian forces or the extremist Azov battalion, as offered by the Ukrainian regime, Interfax news agency quoted Slutsky as saying.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced the arrest of his forces for the opposition leader Medvedchuk, head of the Opposition Platform for Life, in an effort to exchange him for Ukrainian prisoners held by Russian forces.
