One of the best known — but also one of the most atypical — in France.

Place Charles-de-Gaulle, often referred to by its former name, Place de l'Étoile, in the northwest of Paris (8th arrondissement), is enough to scare any driver who ventures there.

With its twelve lanes not materialized by paint, it looks like a "monster", a large motorized whirlpool where changing lanes is an art.

To the point that Parisian driving school instructors carefully avoid the area for their students.
