A road lined with ferns, the pine forest as far as the eye can see, the spectacle of fawns enjoying themselves there...Welcome to the Landes de Gascogne!
It is between Beauziac and Pindères, 5 km from the spa town of Casteljaloux, in the south of Lot-et-Garonne, that Center Parcs has set up its seventh French park.
“
This is the first 100% pedestrian area
,” emphasizes Bruno Guth, the site director.
You can only get around on foot, by bike (rental possible) or, for luggage, by electric golf cart.

Stays in France: weekends, hotels and tailor-made stays from our partners
Covering 89 hectares, the site includes 4 gardens - family, gourmet, mandala and farm vegetable garden - and 401 accommodations arranged all around the "heart of the village".
These are distributed according to three formulas: 380 “Comfort” or “VIP” cottages dressed in wooden cladding like traditional cabins and 21 unusual accommodations, 11 houses on the farm and 10 in the trees.
At the other end of the park are the tree houses, nearing completion.
Perched on stilts, they will offer a breathtaking view of the forest.
Holidays in reconnection with nature, between farm animals and vegetable gardens
The educational farm where some hundred Gascon turkeys, sheep and other Landes rabbits roam, some in total freedom.
Sander Baks
Located near the
pony club
and the
educational farm
where some hundred Gascon turkeys, sheep and other Landes rabbits roam, some of them in complete freedom,
the farm hamlet
offers a unique experience: "
each ranch gives access to the animal enclosure, has a private vegetable garden – herbs, tomatoes, salads and red fruits – and a henhouse with a couple of hens to pamper
”, explains Bruno Guth.
Something to amaze young and old, provoke moments of sharing and promote the outdoors and reconnection with nature.
At the heart of the village, wooden corollas sheltering the central square evoke the canopy of a grove.
The entertainment is in full swing: the
Aqua Mundo
water park, restaurants and multiple activities are located there.
The choice is wide: playgrounds, cooking workshops, gardening, indoor climbing, bowling, arcade games, minigolf course...
In the
aquatic area,
too, the architecture, produced by the Parisian-Bordeaux agency Art-Ur Architectes, is neat: wooden frame inspired by the traditional tobacco barns typical of the region to support an impressive dome, large bay windows opening onto the pine forest… On the technical side, a wood-fired boiler room (local pine trees) was chosen for a carbon-free energy mix.
The basins are emptied at night and the water is stored underground to limit heat loss before being reinjected before opening.

Aqua Mundo, water fun area and thrilling slides
The Aqua Mundo a few days before its opening.
Sander Baks
A veritable winter garden, the complex is densely planted with local and tropical plants.
The huge dome of the Aqua Mundo houses pools for young and old with whirlpools, jets, waterfalls... Our favourites: the outdoor wild river that we imagine even more beautiful at night, in the moonlight.
Inside, the more adventurous can try the thrilling slides: two fast “racers” and the Anaconda – which lives up to its name!
– to borrow sitting on a buoy and clinging to two handles.
Adrenaline guaranteed!
On the wellness side, a Deep Nature spa in the basement, unfortunately still in the finishing stage during our visit.
But hunger wins us.
Direction “Les Halles”, where the two restaurants on the site are located: Le Bistrot du Lot-et-Garonne whose menu was co-created with the renowned Agen chef Michel Dusseau.
On the menu of local dishes with local supplies: organic soft-boiled egg on a bed of mushrooms with hazelnuts and apple crisps, Marmande tomato tart, duck or trout with spelled and various seasonal vegetables, farandole of desserts the gariguette;
at the Comptoirs des Halles, the offer is more family-friendly: pizzas, pasta, grilled meats and grilled meats will satisfy all appetites.
Twice a week, on Tuesday and Saturday mornings, the square in the heart of the village, with its bastide feel, will host a market for local fruit and vegetable producers from sustainable agriculture and crafts.
In short, this area offers a trip as cultural as it is gourmet, for the pupils as well as the taste buds, and, above all, the guarantee of a change of scenery and a total disconnection.
Provided you cut yourself off from high-speed wifi, with free access throughout the area... An experience that will remain etched in everyone's memory.
