The Directorate of Education in Homs Governorate, in cooperation with the International First Aid Organization, started the restoration and rehabilitation of the Martyr Mahmoud Mutlaq School for Basic Education, which was vandalized by terrorists.
The supervisor of the educational complex in Palmyra, Sabah Melhem, confirmed in a statement to SANA reporter that the restoration work of the first floor of the school, which includes 6 classrooms, administrative offices and attached toilets, is currently being completed, in addition to the restoration of the school’s external wall, noting that the rehabilitation of Palmyra schools contributes to improving the educational reality. education and encourage people to return to their homes.
The supervisor of the restoration project, Ibrahim Al-Mohammed, indicated that the implementation period of this project is about 90 days, during which the installation of internal aluminum windows and their external protection, wooden doors, floor tiles, painting walls and ceilings, water and electricity installations, and repairing the school’s external wall will be carried out.
