The Russian Foreign Ministry announced that US President Joe Biden and 962 US citizens were banned from entering Russia permanently, in response to a similar US move.
"In the context of responding to the sanctions that the United States constantly imposes against Russia, the ministry has published a list of 963 Americans whose entry to the Russian Federation is permanently banned," the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement carried by TASS.
The ministry stressed that the Russian counter-sanctions are aimed at forcing the US ruling regime that is trying to impose a world order based on neo-colonial rules on the rest of the world to change its behavior.
The ministry indicated that Russia does not seek conflict, and is open to sincere dialogue and mutual respect, and separates the American people from the American authorities, which fuel anti-Russian sentiment.
