The Aleppo Bodybuilding Championship in the Physique category, which was held by the Game Federation in the Sports City in Hamdania, witnessed strong competitions between eighteen players who represented the governorate’s clubs practicing the game, in addition to the police and army authorities.
The championship resulted in the victory of Muawiya Issa Kaddour, 170 cm tall, Wael Sammaqia, 173 kg, Bilal Jubaili, 176 cm tall, Abdel Qader Dabbagh, 179 cm tall, Nazem Masri, 182 cm tall, and Muhammad Fouad Nashed, with a height of over 182 cm.
The police came first in the general order, followed by Freedom, then the Union, the Army, and finally the workers of Aleppo.
Head of the Technical Committee for Body Building Salem Khayyat said in a statement to SANA correspondent that the tournament witnessed good levels of players and a group of them will be selected according to the best results achieved in this tournament to participate in the Republic Championship, pointing to the good participation that the tournament enjoyed despite the difficulty of preparation.
A number of players pointed to the strong competition that the tournament witnessed in all weights to achieve the first places and reserve the passage to the Republic Championship, at the same time expressing their willingness to participate in the upcoming local benefits and achieve advanced positions that qualify them to join the national team and represent it well in international forums.
It is noteworthy that the Republic Championship will be held on the thirtieth of this month at Al-Jalaa Hall in Damascus.
